Welcome!
I took the position as President of the ALA Unit 205 because I firmly believe that the least we can do for the men and women who have served or are now serving our country is to recognize and honor their selfless valor. Witnessing the impact that our projects and programs make brings me immense fulfillment.
Our compassionate volunteer members are the heart of our organization. The abundant diverse acts of kindness that they provide is a genuine collaboration of professional and personal skills that are reflective of our motto ‘service not self.’ Whether behind the scenes or leading an initiative to raise funds through our Poppy Program, the Bluffton Memorial Brick program, the Girls and Boys Club Scholarship Program, the Girls State Program, or by assembling care packages, visiting nursing homes, supporting hurricane victims, or participating in the American Legion Post 205 Memorial Day ceremony, Veteran’s Day parade or other community ceremonies, our volunteers are actively engaged in making a difference.
If you are considering becoming involved, I look forward to the opportunity to partner with you in whatever capacity you feel comfortable. I invite you to attend our meetings so that we may further our mission to serve our veterans, their families and our exceptionally caring Bluffton community.
Debbie Davis
President ALA Unit 205
